HARRIER GR.1 XV277 RN RAF EAST FORTUNE 2024 - WALKAROUND GALLERY

Here's a first-generation Harrier on show at RAF East Fortune, Scotland. Looking at the paint chipping around the cockpit and the access panels, I am thinking this is the in-service paint scheme. I know they were originally painted in a gloss scheme, and this looks like it is original. I am not sure of the provenance of the ROYAL NAVY markings, perhaps the RAF was training RN pilots prior to them transferring to Sea Harriers. This airframe brings back memories of the wonderful artwork on the early Airfix 1:24 Harrier kit.
